#ICBNXCLUSIVE: HADIJA BAKASA NOW REQUESTS THE COURT TO TRANSFER HER CASE BACK TO ISIOLO ON MEDICAL GROUNDS

Hadija Bakasa: A victim of domestic abuse undergoing specialized treatment at ICTRH.

Hadija Bakasa, the victim of an abusive spouse, one Daud, who battered and inflicted life threatening injuries on her person by the use of a scalding hot knife has now requested the court to transfer her case back to Isiolo since she is hospitalized at ICTRH and mobility is hard for her as her wounds are still fresh.
A letter purportedly showing the request Hadija made to the court. She is yet to get the feedback but the case has been postponed to 9/10/2019

She is also afraid that she may never get justice as there are talks of reverting the case back to 'maslaha' courts where she says the perpetrator may get away without facing the full consequences for his evil actions.

The case has since been postponed to the 9th of October but she says the court is yet to give her any feedback on her request to transfer the case back to Isiolo since she says it will be her pleasure to attend the proceedings.

She is still holding out hope that her request shall be considered by the courts and justice will be served.

Her ultimate satisfaction she
says is to see the 'heartless perpetrator back behind bars where he belongs' to serve as an example to many like him who treat women like objects.

She also says that her hospital bills are going up by the day as can be seen on the medical sheet we received from our source and is requesting well wishers to chip in and assist her offset the bills as she can no longer depend on her spouse for the same who is responsible for the situation she has found herself in.

Her Safaricom number is: 0742481513.
Hadija is also calling on the women's right organizations to stand with her as she has neither received material nor moral support from any quarters at this point.
(Below👇 are details of her medical bills and medication.

We will let you in on more as soon as we get further details.

#ICBNXCLUSIVE: RDJ TO ISIOLO, "BRACE YOURSELVES FOR A MEGA 'INUA MAMA' RALLY NEXT MONTH."

Isiolo Women Rep Rehema Jaldesa Addressing Wananchi Earlier Today At Tharaka Nithi.

The long wait is finally over for the people of Isiolo as local women rep Rehema Jaldesa has announced that the Inua Mama train will be heading to Isiolo on 25th Of October for what is supposedly a 'mega rally'.

The 'Inua Mama' outfit was formed recently where women representatives supposedly allied to the D.P Ruto's TangaTanga movement have formed a caucus where they set out to empower women by holding various rallies across the country in which they encourage women to take charge of their livelihoods by engaging in viable business undertakings. They are also known to sell the portfolios of their candidates of choice for as the general elections are just around the corner and various candidates are already on the ground selling their portfolios to the public.

In addition to verbal and moral encouragement, the team also donates a variety of items to vulnerable women which they say can serve as the launch pad to greater economic freedom for these vulnerable women. The items range from mixers, sewing machines, wheelbarrows, posho mills to non-economic items such as foodstuffs and clothes which also comes in handy for families ravaged by drought such as Isiolo.

The 'Inua Mama' outfit faces a stiff competition from their opponents in 'Embrace' outfit who are supposedly allied to 'BBI/Kieleweke's 'Embrace' outfit.
The women normally hold rallies full of pomp and colour and often comes with glamour only comparable to a Hollywood red carpet event. It is by all indicators the next big thing in the ever dynamic Kenyan political scenes.
'Inua Mama' beauty parade which are common at such events.

RDJ is one of the key figures of the 'Inua Mama' outfit but this will be the first time the outfit tours her backyard and she seems to leave nothing to chance as she revealed that high end preparations are already in high gear and promised to deliver 'one of the most memorable 'Inua Mama' rallies ever witnessed'. She attended one in Tharaka Nithi today which was 'hugely successful' according to her.

According to rumours that have reached ICBN, it is highly likely that Deputy President Dr. William Ruto will be in attendance too as there have been rumoured TangaTanga rally on the horizon for the past few weeks. RDJ has however not hinted at his(DP's) attendance though the omission may be obvious.

We shall keep you up-to-date on how this pans out as soon as we get any additional info.

#ICBNXCLUSIVE: SENATOR DHULLO RAISES ALARM OVER THE WORSENING HUNGER SITUATION IN PARTS OF ISIOLO COUNTY.

Senator Dhullo distributing relief foodstuffs to drought ravaged Gambela residents.

Isiolo senator Fatuma Dhullo has called on the National and County Governments to take urgent measures in a bid to arrest the escalating hunger situation in certain parts of Isiolo county.

She said this while distributing relief foodstuffs to drought ravaged residents of Oldonyiro, Gambela,Mabatini and surrounding areas. The senator opined that a number of households are at risk of starvation as the drought situation is getting worse everyday. The situation is also compounded further by the acute water shortage crisis which has hit Isiolo town and surrounding estates for the first time in many years.
Oldonyiro

She also posted the following on her official Facebook page on Sunday quote
''The drought situation is very dire and requires quick intervention from the national government as well as the county government.
The situation has been made worse by the water crisis which has hit Isiolo town for the first time and several homes have dry taps. The county government has done very little to address the water problem.'' unquote.

The senator has also challenged the County Government to account for the Kes 447 million set aside for Drought/Emergency intervention which she says would have come in handy to the aid of multitudes in Isiolo who have not had regular meals for months.

She further assured the people that her office will continue reaching out to various stakeholders until such a time that the relief food has reached every corner of Isiolo county.

HADIJA BAKASA: THE DOMESTIC/GENDER VIOLENCE SURVIVOR FEARS FOR HER LIFE ONCE AGAIN AS SUSPECT WALKS FREE!

On the 24th of August 2019, Daud Guyo Gedo allegedly turned on his wife and indiscriminately mutilated her body using a red-hot saber in the cruelest possible manner any human being could do to another. Even after slicing her body about a couple dozen times leaving her with life threatening gushes across the entirety of her anatomy, he hid her in their home for at least three days before neighbours got wind of the situation leading to her rescue and eventually being rushed to the hospital for emergency medication where the medics managed to stabilize her condition before further blood loss could deem her case fatal.

While all these happened in the full glare of the security agencies, a family member of the victim tells us that it took the cops more than 10 days to arrest the suspect whom he says wasn't on the run and was apparently heard bragging that he won't be arrested. Well, arrested he was after the internet blew up with the case but what concerns the family is the grim reality that the perpetrator who 'slaughtered' their daughter is roaming free once again following his release from police custody.

'Bailed Out By Agents of an Influential Local Legislator'

The rep of the victim's family further informed us that they have a real reason to be fearful as they believe his bond was paid by people who are close confidants of a local legislator and are afraid the suspect might plan to finish her off as a measure of vengeance for being locked up as this is not the first time he has inflicted grievous bodily harm on her.

'Scheme To Hand Over The Case To The Council of Elders'

The victims family is worried as they believe plans are at an advanced stage so that the police can drop the case altogether and let the council of elders take over the case in which case they say not only will she be denied justice but will place her in mortal danger as more often than not, such cases end up with lady being ordered to return back to the same haunted house in which she was  forced to meet the grim reaper(albeit without success) and submit to the wishes of the same man that mutilated her body for all she was worth, just managing to escape death by a whisker.

The victim's family says they are appalled by the simplistic manner in which the police handled the issuing of bond to a possible suspect of an attempted murder even before the wounds he(suspect) inflicted on the victim is yet to fully recover.

They are deeply concerned as they maintain that the family is aware about a secret scheme to ensure the case does not progress to trial and believe the initial indicator of the grand plan to deny the victim the much deserved justice may have already been set in motion by the act of granting bail to an individual who without a doubt poses grave danger, not only to their already mutilated kin, but also to a multitude of the remaining population in the region, especially women and children.

They(victim's family) have urged the politicians not to interfere with the case and to allow the law to take its course while saying that they are heartbroken by rumours that an influential figure who hails from the same clan as the suspect has vowed to 'ensure the case doesn't go anywhere'.
To add salt to an injury, the victim's rep tells us that the cohort was even heard bragging about their plans to free 'their man'.

As a parting shot, the victim's rep has informed us that the family shall not relent until their kin gets justice for the atrocities done to her and vowed to not take a rest until the 'coward monster's a**' is dragged behind bars to serve time for his evil actions that have caused the victim's family untold emotional anguish and torture, watching as their own kin lays deeply sedated throughout the day to ease the excruciating throes of pain that has taken her body captive since the day of the incident rendering her incapacitated to perform even simple chores and depends on family members until she makes a full recovery.

Medics believe she will make a full recovery albeit with human-inflicted lifelong scars that will forever remind her of the sheer extent of her spouse's cruelty.

ICBN will keep you up-to-date on how this case pans out in the days to come.

They say their wish is to ensure all and sundry get to know the full extent of the suspects actions as the suspect has been receiving undeserved sympathy from certain quarters)

#ICBNsports: Olympic FC Carry The Day As County League Comes To A Wrap!

Olympic FC have been crowned as the champions of Isiolo County League after beating Ibin Tainia FC as the two finalists battled it out for the top prize at Kiwanjani Primary School playground on Sunday.

Isiolo Queens also emerged victorious in the girls section as they played it out with their closest rival Starlets FC who came emerged as runners up in the girls section.

The finalists were each presented with a trophy, balls and cash prizes according to the category they won in. Medals were also awarded to the individual players.
The best scorer and and the best goal keeper of the tournament were also awarded.

The event which was hosted and   cosponsored by the Hon Sumeya Bishar, a youthful nominated MCA at the Isiolo county assembly who has recently received accolades for her outstanding record in youth and women empowerment.
In her closing speech, she urged the government agencies to invest more in sports as that is an investment in youth as it will help in solving a lot of social issues when the youth are fully and properly engaged in sports.
She also praised the league organizers for introducing the ladies category saying that is what motivated her to want to be a part of the event.

Hon. Sumeya who donated the trophies and shouldered most of the expenses of the tournament has urged for more involvement in the youth issues which she says could help drastically reduce drug abuse and other vices such as radicalization which has been a major challenge in the region.
The players that we spoke to have decried the total lack of support from the sports department at the county which they collectively agreed has been the source of frustration and often puts them at a great disadvantage when they travel for away matches as a number of the teams participate in the Division 1 league too.
However, they are hopeful that a meeting which took place between the sports stakeholders and the governor's representatives on Saturday will be fruitful and will help smoothen the operation of the tournament in the future.

Kerrow, one of the organizers of the tournament maintained that if hon. Sumeya did not intervene when she did, the tournament would have been a total catastrophe and takes issue with some officials in the sports department whom he says are sleeping on the job and are a reason the sports sector in Isiolo is yet to pick up despite the region being cited as a hub of sports talent by a number of sports pundits and even added that several top national league agents have been scouting for talent in the region.

ISIOLO: CALLS TO BOYCOTT ANGAAF RADIO FOLLOWING ALLEGATIONS OF DISCRIMINATION AT THE STATION!

Photo: Hadija Omar AKA DJ Dhiqayo

Yet another presenter has been sacked by the seemingly inept and corrupt management at Angaaf Radio. This time, the hammer fell on DJ Dhiqayo, a popular presenter at the station. The 'sacking' came in the form of the letter below which is poorly drafted and doesn't consider the constitutional guidelines around dismissing an employee. The wording is a whole another issue.
According to the agents of the presenter we spoke to, the station management has not for even once gave her a warning, including a verbal one according to what her rep let in on us.
What is even more surprising is the fact that the person who signed off on the letter is her fellow presenter named Adannoor showing the extent to which the management goes to humiliate their employees.
We have also learnt that a few other presenters have suffered the same fate before who include Abba Simpire, Halima Guracha and Hussein Murangiri who they would later reemploy after he sought refuge at another local station.
An insider who is familiar with the stations operations informs as that(albeit on condition of anonymity) that the young lady was sacked, not because she has done anything inherently wrong, but due to personal feud with another presenter one DJ Bahaa who is the one apparently calling the shots at the station.
The letter did not state any reason for Dhiqayo's sacking and so far a host of Isiolo bloggers have aired their views on the issue calling for the immediate reinstatement of DJ Dhiqayo and have vowed to boycott the station and have vowed to press for the boycott of the station saying the station is clearly trampling the human rights and dignity of its employees!
ICBN shall keep you up to date on how this storm in Angaaf pans out!

ISIOLO: NOMINATED MCA SUMEYA BISHAR LAUNCHES PHASE 1 OF 'ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER' PROGRAM AIMED AT DROUGHT MITIGATION

Hon.Sumeiya(right) giving out a water tank to one of the beneficiaries of 'Access To Clean Water' Program

More than 30 community groups, mosques, churches, madrassas and a number of households have received a generous donation in form of water tanks from Hon. Sumeya Bishar, a nominated MCA who has taken early measures to ensure the vulnerable members of the society such as women and people living with disabilities do not suffer in the likely event of adverse weather.

Isiolo county has been flagged as one of the counties which is faced with an all-year-round water scarcity hence the tanks which come in 500 and 1000 litre volumes shall come in handy when the drought season hits where every drop usually counts.

The first phase of the program was successfully launched at her residence in Kiwanjani and attended by among other her fellow MCA Hon. Abdi Halake Kunune and Garbatulla MCA aspirant Hon. Bonaya Boru Bonaya.
One of the event coordinators that we spoke to Mr. Harun Hussein says that phase 2 of the program shall be rolled out in a few months time and shall target more households.
He also adds that community groups from all the sub counties in Isiolo county have so far benefitted from Phase one of the program.

The beneficiaries of the donations that we managed to speak to have said they are very grateful to the MCA for her revolutionary idea saying water storage facilities has been their biggest challenge for years as most of the vulnerable folks cannot afford such high capacity storage amenities and the few 20ltrs containers they have cannot sustain them for long hence requires to be refilled frequently, woe unto you if water isn't available!
They say this will be a major relief especially for school going girls in most local households as they are the ones faced with the humongous task of trekking long distances to ensure the family gets enough water for domestic and other uses, a task that comes with countless hazards as more often than not, they have to go through heavy thickets and forests to reach the available wells or rivers.
'The high capacity water tanks they have received is expected to drastically reduce such treks and girls will have enough time to revise for their school work', says a middle aged woman from Ngaremara who is one of the beneficiaries of the program.

ICBN has also noted that water scarcity is no longer an issue limited to rural areas in Isiolo county but is a major threat in Isiolo township as well.
Most areas within Isiolo town have not seen a drop in their taps, some claim for over three months and has been an issue that icbn has been looking into especially with allegations of IWASCO falling to cartels. More shall come your way concerning the same.

On the brighter side, we congratulate Hon. Sumeiya for leading from the front in ensuring the citizenry is well prepared for an eventual drought season as the short rains come short!

We shall let you keep up to date with the progress of this ambitious program.

#ICBNXCLUSIVE: A FAMILY IN KINNA CITES INTIMIDATION BY ISIOLO SENATOR OVER A PIECE OF LAND!

A Mr.Mohamed Guyo(also popularly known as Hole), a resident of Kinna ward is a man in distress following what he claims is blatant intimidation by Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dhullo over a piece of land that the senator has apparently laid a claim on,albeit fraudulently(in his own words)

He claims that the senator has been making frantic calls to him asking him to vacate the land which he claims he has had it for years and has been using it for a variety of economic activities.

In a phone call he made exclusively to ICBN, Mr. Guyo says the senator laid claim to the land ,something which he believes has been inspired by the recent developments owing to the 'tarmac reaching kinna' which he says has sharply increased the market value of plots located alongside the 'highway'.

He further added that the senator even claimed to have an allotment letter which he maintains is a blatant lie since not an iota of land in Isiolo county has been adjudicated  and 'claims of an allotment letter for a plot in Kinna ward of Isiolo county is a figment of the senator's wild imaginations'.
He believes the senator is using her influential position to intimidate his family out of the piece of land and has since vowed that it shall be 'noisy and messy' if she doesn't relent in her quest to dispossess him of his children's inheritance.

The aides of the senator that we reached out to concerning the story refused to give us any leads saying he is not aware of such feud.

What is even more interesting is that the senator has often been credited for the 'Kinna tarmac' and such a story opens the lid on many range of ethical and moral issues about some of the local leaders who while being touted as 'human rights icons' have meted the greatest suffering on the same people whose welfare they claim to champion for.
Mohamed tells us that he was elated beyond what words could explain after learning that the tarmac would pass right by his plot imagining the opportunities that come with such luck. He now claims that feeling has since turned into fear and is counting days before the senator comes marching with her might to evict his family.

While at that,he also says he is cosidering going the legal way before 'she gets the better of him' by using her extensive connections and influence.

Senator Dhullo also remains one of the most outspoken local champion of NRT- a dreaded entity which has been under fire for the longest time for fanning ethnic animosity, disharmony and clashes which has so far claimed a total of 83 souls;deaths which most local human rights activists have directly linked to the activities of NRT and Ian Craig whose main objective is believed to be 'de-manning the vast Charri rangelands to create a tourism hub for commercial purposes' and their modus operandi surely works since as of this moment no herder can set foot in the pasture-rich rangeland since such a move has been deemed as 'a sure fire way of attracting the grim reaper'.

Back to our original story, we wish the poor old man gets heard in his quest for justice as he prepares for 'an imminent 'invasion' by a powerful and influential national figure'
We shall update you about any development(s) concerning the above story.
